Health & Safety at Burnside B&B, Keswick
We take our Health & Safety responsibilities at Burnside B&B very seriously. Our guests can be assured that we meet or exceed all our statutory health & safety requirements.
All servicing and installation work in Burnside B&B is carried out to the highest standards by local, CORGI and ECA qualified plumbers and electricians with whom we have long standing experience.
Burnside B&B is one of the few B&B's, Guest Houses or Hotels in the Keswick area that has been fire risked assessed to BritishStandard PAS79. This assessment was independently carried out by APL Fire Safety in May 2007 and is reviewed annually.
We completed a thorough refurbishment of Burnside B&B in February 2008 fully complying to the latest Building / Fire Regulations.
As a consequence of this work -
- A new fire alarm system has been installed
- Fire doors with intermiscent / smoke strips are fitted throughout
- Instructional Fire Notices are located in all bedrooms
- Fire extinguishers & break glass panels are located on all floors
- All electrical appliances are PAT tested.
